Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and our role

Praiseboard is operated by DanixSoft (“we”, “us”), a software company based in Lahore, Pakistan. There are two groups of people whose data passes through Praiseboard, and our role differs for each:

• Customers: the businesses and people who sign up to collect testimonials, and their teammates. For your account we decide how the data is used, so we are responsible for it.
• Givers: the people who leave a testimonial through a customer’s collection link. The customer decides to collect and publish those testimonials, so the customer is responsible for them; we store and display them on the customer’s behalf and on their instructions.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and a password, handled by our authentication provider. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
• Space details: your brand name, address (slug), brand colour, logo, website, collection-link settings and wall settings.
• Team details: the email addresses of people you invite, their role, and when they accepted.
• Moderation records: each testimonial’s status (pending, approved or hidden), favourites, tags, any display name or title you set, and who reviewed it and when.
• Technical data: like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address and browser details when you load a page.

To see how Praiseboard is used, we run DanixSoft’s own first-party, cookieless analytics on this website, including collection pages, walls and embedded walls. It is hosted by DanixSoft at admin.danixsoft.com and the data is stored in DanixSoft’s own database. It records the pages visited (ids and private codes in page addresses are masked), the referring website and any UTM campaign tags in the link, approximate location (country, region and city, derived from the IP address by our hosting provider), browser, operating system and device type, clicks on links and buttons (on signed-in screens the button or link text is not recorded), time on page and scroll depth, page-load speed measurements (Core Web Vitals, timing numbers only), and conversion events such as sign-ups and submitted testimonials, recorded without any personal details. It does not use cookies or local storage, and it does not store IP addresses: unique visitors are counted with a salted hash that rotates daily, and the salt is deleted after a day, so the hash cannot be reversed or linked across days. This data is not sold or shared with advertisers.

We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics.

3. People who give testimonials

When you leave a testimonial through a collection link, you can give us:

• your written words and a star rating, or a short video of yourself (which includes your image and voice);
• your name, and optionally your job title, company and a photo;
• optionally your email address, so the business can follow up with you. It is kept private and never shown on a wall.

You must tick a box agreeing that the business may publish your testimonial. We store the time you agreed and the exact sentence you agreed to, so a later change of wording never rewrites what you consented to. You do not need an account, and we do not use your testimonial for anything except delivering it to the business you gave it to. If a customer imports testimonials they already had (for example from emails), the record shows that the customer confirmed they have your permission, not that you consented on our form.

4. How we use it

• To run Praiseboard: store testimonials, show them to the space’s team, and display approved ones on walls and embeds.
• To keep the service secure and working, including limiting how many submissions and files a link accepts each day, and stopping obvious bots.
• To contact customers about their account or important changes to the service.

We never sell, rent or share givers’ or customers’ data for marketing, and we never contact givers ourselves.

5. What becomes public

Nothing a giver submits is public until the customer approves it. Once approved, the words, rating, name (or the display name the customer chose), title, photo and video can appear on the customer’s walls: on pages on our domain and inside embeds on the customer’s own website. Email addresses are never shown. If the customer hides or deletes a testimonial, it leaves every wall, and its photo and video stop being served.

Wall pages on our domain ask search engines not to index them unless the customer allows it. Collection pages are never indexed. Walls embedded on a customer’s website are part of that website, and its own privacy policy applies to it.

6. Who else processes it

• Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage (photos, videos and logos).
• Vercel: hosting of the website and app.

They process data on our behalf to provide their services. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

7. Where it is stored

Our providers operate data centres outside Pakistan, so data may be stored and processed in other countries. We choose providers that protect data in transit and at rest.

8. How long we keep it

We keep a space’s data, including its testimonials and files, while the account is active. When a customer deletes a testimonial, the record and its photo and video are deleted. When a customer asks us to close their account, we delete their spaces and files, except where the law requires us to keep something.

9. Your choices and rights

• Givers: the consent you gave says you can ask for your testimonial to be removed at any time. Ask the business you gave it to; they can delete it in one click. If you cannot reach them, contact us with the link to the wall and we will help.
• Customers: you can correct your details in the app, delete testimonials, and ask us for a copy of your data or to delete your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under data protection law; we will honour them.

10. Security

Every record belongs to one space, and the database only lets that space’s team read or change it. Photos and videos sit in private storage: the public can only fetch a file while it belongs to an approved testimonial, through links that expire after an hour. Connections are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell affected customers promptly if we learn of a breach that affects them.

11. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies that are needed to keep customers signed in and to remember which space they are working in. Your light or dark theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage. We use no advertising or analytics cookies (our analytics are cookieless), and collection pages and walls set none.

12. Children

Praiseboard is for businesses and is not directed at children. Customers must not collect testimonials from children without the consent of a parent or guardian where the law requires it.

13. Changes and contact
